Digital Marketing Career Toolkit

This project highlights my consulting work before launching The Content Jeannie. I relied on my extensive experience as a marketing professional to help an emerging organization. As a young marketing expert, it was a valuable chance to reflect on my career path and my unique approach, with the goal of guiding the next generation of marketing professionals.

The Assignment

Shared Lane is an organization that helps young adults connect with post-secondary pathways leading to in-demand careers. They offer resources to students and educators to understand the evolving workplace. I created the content for their Digital Marketing Careers Toolkit.

My Approach

Reflecting on my professional career, I created the Shared Lane toolkit to guide high school students as they take their initial steps toward a marketing career. The toolkit links classroom skills to real-world opportunities through engaging exercises, sample job descriptions, and accessible career strategies. The content encourages students to identify their transferable skills and builds their confidence to apply them in internships and entry-level roles.

The Result

This toolkit remains one of the organization’s legacy resources that continues to support Shared Lane’s mission to expand post-secondary career opportunities.

What This Project Taught Me

My personal journey is one I am proud of. Atypical, for sure, it allowed me to speak to an audience that demands the level of investment and care that today’s generation faces when making important life decisions. This is the beauty of mission-driven work. The unconventional approach often leads to the most creative and solution-oriented outcomes. We need more opportunities to challenge norms and break the mold.
